I need to cut some length off of some EVA grips. I have not installed them yet. I think I have heard about using heavy lb mono to do this but not sure. How do you guys cut your EVA?
Thanks Bobby Re: Cutting EVA

There are a couple good methods. If you have a lathe, put the grip on a mandrel and while it's spinning hold a piece of stout rod wrapping thread (D or E) against it. It will cut like butter.
Or, wrap a piece of masking tape around it to function as a straightedge and use a razor blade to cut it. ............... Re: Cutting EVA

I use my old Stanley miter saw - fine woodworking finish blade - then sand the cut end until I get it looking smooth and squared up if needed.

It will cut like butter. Warm, soft butter at that. IF you have a lathe, this is definitely the way to go. Re: Cutting EVA

Just hold the thread between your thumbs and forefingers - don't wrap it around any of your fingers. In the rare event that it might catch on something, you want it to slip out of your fingers, not cut in.
