One final post to advertise for our first meeting.

This is to all Alaskan Rodbuilders, or people that are interested in Rodbuilding. I am starting a "robuilding group", similar to the NERBS from the North East region. I have a facility reserved for October 10th starting at 10:00 am through 4:00 pm. This is the inaugural meeting so I will be asking a lot of questions of everyone there. This group will be what we make it so show up and voice your opinions. We will try to address all intrests in rodbuilding. If you have never built a rod this is your chance. If you have built a bunch of rods this is your chance to show your talents and help new rodbuilders learn.

Peters Creek American Legion...(on the restaraunt side)
October 10th 10:00 am -----4:00pm

If you have any questions email me at 907rodbuilder@gmail.com Please let me know if you will be able to attend. I will bring some food down so an accurate headcount is appreciated.

Just a heads up to anyone that tried to Google map the Peters Creek AMerican Legion. I tried it last night and it spit me out somewhere around Chugiak High School, that is a ways off. Here are the directions from Wasilla or Anchorage

Directions
From Wasilla take the second Peters creek exit.
At the end of the off ramp take a right to a 4 way stop sign.
Take a right at the 4 way stop sign onto “The Old Glenn”.
The legion is about ¼ mile down the road on the left hand side.

From Anchorage take the first Peters Creek exit.
At the end of the off ramp take a left traveling underneath the Glenn to a 4way stop
Take a right at the 4 way stop sign onto “The Old Glenn”.
The legion is about ¼ mile down the road on the left hand side.

I look forward to meeting everyone

Kirk

Kirk - great job putting this together. Lots of options for rodbuilding get togehters this weekend, with 3 events going on simiultaneously in 3 corners of the country. Hopefully builders take advantage of these opportunities, not only are they a lot of fun, they are very informative.

Open clubs and gatherings are always free to contact me about having their events listed in the News column of RodMaker Magazine. It reaches a ton of people that the internet doesn't.

I'm also happy to send a box of the International Custom Rod Symbol to any such events by request.
