gouged LSG 6

Evening everyone,
I was looking at some gear today after I had come home from fishing and found that I have a noticably gouged LSG6 on my 4c68mxf on which I use 30lb power pro. (this rod was built prior to micro's hitting the scene) It is the second guide back from the tip and there are no other guides on the rod that are damaged... any ideas on what may have caused this?? The rod was built with guides from the same shipment so I think that may rule out a bad batch... I am going to remove the guide when I get home from work tomorrow and contact fuji and see what they say about it.

thanks,
Tom

Angler's Resources will certainly replace it for you. We'd all be interested in hearing what they have to say about the cause.

I would mention that just because it arrived in the same shipment with the other guides does not mean it came from the same production batch.
