Thanks for the help I have cleaned th stuff off the wraps today I have my bottles and syringes marked well. The flexcoat is a new batch and have never mixed any before. I am confident that I did not mix two parts of the same . For now I am going to solve the problem by going to Maine for a couple of weeks to chase smallmouth. I will remix some when I get back and I'll let everyone know how I made out. Thank you for all the responses and suggestions, the posters on this board are the best. Tight wraps

Did you read Gary Henderson's post? It IS possible that you have two part A or two part B in your set. It happened to me once before (different manufacturer). Check the viscosity by tilting the bottles in a side-by-side test (ie: at the same time). Hardener "runs" faster than the resin. There MAY be a production run error. If so I would think other users will also note the same problem with the mix. After two attempts one of your mixes should have hardened regardless of ambient temperature or humidity.

Flex coat resin and hardener have slightly different colors, can't remember which is darker, but if they are identical, maybe you have two of the same.

The hardener will always be the darker of the two.

Tom, here's a question that you can certainly answer and indulge my laziness at the same time: I have some older Flex Coat (unopened) and the hardener has darkened quite a bit.
What effect will this have when mixed and applied to wraps? Is it noticeable at all? More so on some blank or thread colors?

I could wrap up a bunch of tests on old blank trim pieces, but I suspect you already know the answer to this one.

It will have no effect. All hardeners will darken over time but this does not affect their set, cure or other properties.
