questions on Northfork

Two questions. When do the new Northfork blanks become available. ? Also the sight shows that the common cents will be used for rating blanks. Will this be for fly blanks only or on all rods available? How would this work?

There is also an ad for Hobie systems showing Hank Parker using a spin rod that looks like it has the new guide system on it. Does he get these supplied or does he buy from a custom maker? Would anybody know who he uses?

North Fork is getting underway now. Most likely it will be a few more weeks before anyone will see any production blanks. There will only be 3 direct dealers for the time being.

The Common Cents System does not measure fly rods, nor bass rods nor steelhead rods. It doesn’t measure bare blanks nor finished rods. It doesn’t measure graphite, glass nor bamboo.

What the Common Cents System does measure is relative power, action and speed. It will do so accurately for any rod or blank, of any type or material, that possesses these inherent properties and which can be deflected to the required constant. Suggestions to the contrary simply indicate a lack of understanding as to how systems of relative measurement operate.

North Fork will be using the CCS on all their blank models. At least one other major manufacturer will be adopting it for their 2010 product line.

I have no idea where Hank Parker obtains his rods.

Hank Parker get all is stuff from sponsors. But he has input on how they should build it for him and what they may use. Parker is not just a Bass fisherman! He is a designer, fabricator and some times builder of all the stuff you see on his program and other programs like his. These guys are well educated fishermen. They may act like good ol boys . But what you are looking at is a money makeing program

Good Wraps Bob
