I am wondering what guides would best suit this blank. It will be in spinning format for the purpose of throwing soft plastics and hard bosy lures for Snapper up to around 80cm long. I would traditionally thought to use Fuji TNLSG guides then finish with TLSG guides but as i would like it to be as light as possible i might be able to get away with either Y or V guides. What do you think? Any suggestions would be well received.

The guides on the top half of the rod will play the greatest role in balance and speed. I'd set using the New Guide Concept and use those TLSG guides for the choker and running guides. On the butt you could use either TSVSG or TLVSG. The concept style guides could be used there as well. Those are tough, powerful fish and if you think the rod will experience any rough handling, then go for double foot guides on the lower area from butt guide to this side of the choker guide.

Thanks Tom. They certainly go hard in shallow water.
