It's going to be hard to others tell you what you're going to like or not like. Color combinations are a matter of personal taste.

Thread doesn't cost very much. Buy several spools and make up some test wraps and see what appeals to you.

To take Tom's advice a little further, go here to Ray Adams' Rod Builders Libray [rodbuildingtutorials.com]. then go under the "Thread Work" tab and take a look at the "Guide Wrap Color Designer by Dave Barrett" make sure you download the instructions right underneath it. It gives you all the Gudebrod thread options, and allows you to design your wraps right down to the number of wraps you want to take. I'm pretty sure it gives you a dark green blank option with a few others. It's awesome!!!! Thanks Ray for putting that site together, I know it's been a big help to me. Not to take ANYTHING away from this forum or RodMaker Mag. It just goes hand in hand with them. IMHO

Mike if you eMail Dave Barrett, he will explain to you how to fix it. He wrote the file. If his email addy is not listed on Ray's site, do a search on his name here (include all dates), then when th forum listings come up that he has replyed or started, click on his name and if it's not hidden the addy will be there.
