I have a friend who wants hook keepers put on his Bass Pro Bionic Blade rods. All I know is that the thread wraps appear to be red with gold trim. I don't have the rods and I cannot find a good picture of them and I don't want to end up ordering the wrong thread. Can anyone tell me the colors or at least a close match? My buddy isn't concerned with an exact match, as long as it is close, he will be happy.
thanks, jeremy Re: Bionic Blade Thread Colors?

Consider just "blending" in with the blank. Pick a regular nylon thread just slightly lighter than the blank and don't apply CP. When finish hits it, the thread will go translucent and not "appear" at all ... giving a subtle look to the add-on and not detracting from the original threadwork.
The problem with trying to do an exact match is that it is VERY difficult due to the effects of UV on the original threadwork, etc. Re: Bionic Blade Thread Colors?

Also, the thread colors have changed over the years. It depends on what YEAR rod it is. I found this out the hard way, not long ago.

Thanks Jim. I've ordered several colors of thread and I'll see what I can do to match the rod.
