spadefish question-off topic

i am going back to the coast in a few weeks and want to target spadefish. i want to try it with a fly as well. does anyone know of a particular fly or method in targeting them. email me directly at jptimberlake@triad.rr.com

Spadefish eat jellyfish. I've seen discussions about jellyfish flies slaying the spades. Maybe try a google search on jellyfish flies? It was on Tidalfish, if I recall.

I think they tied a bit of plastic bag to a hook, but I can't really remember. I'll go research it and get back to you.

I looked around and found quite a bit of info.

Most guys who chum with chopped clams just put a little strip of bunny skin on a #4 or #6 hook.

In NC, they chum with jelly balls, a small type of jellyfish. They tie flies that look like small jellyfish.
