1 wet coat of CP is generally enough. 2 coats will not hurt anything. More than that is usually just a waste.

I put one coat of high build epoxy on my wraps. That's all. What you want is enough to give you the build depth you desire. You may do it with 1, or you might require 2. That's up to you. There is no right nor wrong answer here. If what you've done "looks pretty good" then good it is.

I always use two coats of CP and two coats of flex coat lite. It's the system I get the best results from, so I stick with it. One hour between the coats of CP and then 12 hours before I apply epoxy.

cheers

James,
Unless I need a certain color stand out, I never use any CP.
I also just use one coat of high build finish over the wraps.

If I do need a color or color to stand out, I will use one coat of CP with a single coat of high build over it.

Take care
Roger

I use CP 99% of the time one good coat unless it's light over dark. If I'm using TM Lite, I usually use 2 coats - Regular (high), I usually use 1. Although it depends on how it looks.

I never used to use CP, but recently I started using it on most all of my wraps. The main thing I like about it is that it sets your wraps, if you wrap a rod and then don't get to flex coat it right away, or for example your two year old daughter gets ahold of it, the wraps have a fighting chance of making it without coming loose. I have been using Flex coat High Build and I love it, one coat and done.

1 or at the most 2 coats of CP and a coat of Flex Coat high build on all of my rods. That's just my system.
