Gentlemen:
I dont know whats wrong with me but,I am doing my first chevron and it is complete. Now I have decided to take it a step farther and make a reversing chevron and cant figure it out. I can see the wrap direction required but it appears that I have to wrap the new reversing threads on top of the current chevron threads which doesnt make sense to me. I am sure it is a very simple procedure but I am not sure. Any help or input is appreciated. Thank you Tom Re: I Think Im An Idiot (reversing chevron)

Make another chevron pointing in the opposite direction as your first. The first thread on the second chevron will be next to the very first thread you wrapped in the first chevron, pointing in the opposite direction. Re: I Think Im An Idiot (reversing chevron)

Here's a closeup of a couple reversing chevrons I did
[i25.photobucket.com] On the bottom rod (Gators) the first thread (layout thread) was orange in the first cheron, and the first thread in the second is white. Re: I Think Im An Idiot (reversing chevron)

You do wrap one over the other. Here is another example on a different axis as Scott's
