Bait Cast Reel Seat

I am building a bait caster with a fuji reel seat rather than a Castaway. The Castaway's do not have an opening on the forward end of the seat. What do you do with the opening at the front of a Fuji seat? I am not using a forend cork.
Thanks

Ricky I am attaching a picture of a Castaway Seat for you to view:

Would you please describe to me what you mean when you say they do not have an opening on the foward end of the seat.

If I can understand what you are saying maybe I can help.

I build many baitcasters with no foregrip and do not understand your question. Take a look at some finished rods.

Thread, winding check, o-ring, epoxy ramp......many choices!

I like the epoxy ramp: [www.rodbuilding.org]

I too am puzzled about this "opening". Can you explain further?

I think he means how to finish off the end of the reel seat. Ricky, closing off the end can be done using many things. Epoxy ramps, using RodBond or 5 minute epoxy. Winding checks sized to fit the blank, with the outer diameter matching the threaded portion of the seat. A single cork ring, or EVA ring, wood, or other material such as a piece turned from Corian. There are several examples on the photo board. As Bill suggested take the time to have a good squizz in the Grips and Handle Assemblies section.

Ricky post is on target - I was the one that is confused - I forgot he requested a Castaway 9.5 internal bore seat which Swampland did not carrry in stock. He was wanting to know the best way to arbor up a Fuji for a no foregrip rod.
