I have noticed the prices of some Lami blanks coming down in the last couple of years and wondered if that was an indicator that production has gone overseas. Re: Are Lami blanks still made in the US?

ONLY the "International Series" of blanks unless something terribly drastic has changed VERY recently. As a matter of fact, Lamiglas builds US produced products for many other companies. Re: Are Lami blanks still made in the US?

I was at the factory in Woodland Washington back in August. They are made right there. Its quite a tour to see if you are ever out there. Just show up and tell them that you are a builder and would like to see the process. They start woth the mandrel and show everything til the end when they show the wrappers that make their completed rods.
Quite impressive. Kevin Re: Are Lami blanks still made in the US?

Most of their blanks are made right there in Woodland, WA. The International series are made overseas. Everything else, as far as I know is made right here. I also have been to their factory. Can be very interesting for someone who has not been to a rod manufacturer. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
