I have a one man abs plastic boat that weighs 60lbs because of a bad back quite often I will pick up the front and drag it to the lake. I want to glue a couple of pieces of lexan to the rear so the dragging does not wear through the abs.I know there are plenty of glue experts here will Rod Bond work if not can you recommend I glue that will glue lexan to abs without damging anything. Thanks Sam

I use a sheet of Lexan to spread my epoxy on to mix and peel it off when cured.

You can start here and then check adhesives ABS and see if you can find a double hit.

There is a product called Lexel that will definitely do what you want. Most boat shops will stock it.

You might also check online for a wheel set that attaches to your boat. I had one 25 years ago for my mini bass boat and I'm sure they're still some around.

They also have the Kevlar pads that they have for the tupperware canoes to use on their bows and sterns for the very same reasons. The kit comes with everything and instructions.
