I am looking for a thread color that closely matches the color of G-Loomis green water rods. It looks to be a sea green/sea foam green color. I would like to use that color as an under wrap for the King Mackerel rod I'm making on a black Seeker blank.
Who makes that color thread ? Re: Sea Foam Green Thread ?

I can't really compare it to the Loomis rods, because I don't have one, but, I use a sea foam green as a trim color on my rods. I played around with a lot of colors to end up with Madeira #1702 as the closest I could come to a green like the old Volkswagen sea foam green.
Here's a pic of it on a built rod. This is a three green fade. the 1702 is the lightest of the three and you can probably get the best idea of the shade looking at the rear of the butt wrap in this pic. Kind of hard to see it in the small trim bands. Photo here --> [] Mark Griffin [] C&M Custom Tackle San Dimas, California Re: Sea Foam Green Thread ?

Mark , that guide wrap is absolutly gorgeous ! I have a Kencore rod blank and componants on order from @#$%&. If what I ordered is as good as I expect , you will hear me crow about it here at RodBuilding.org. You west coast guys really got it together when it comes to rodbuilding and tackle. I guess the yellow fin tuna bring out the best in men and tackle. I would like to see more west coast style rods introduced along the Texas gulf coast. Most fishermen around my area in Texas as never herd of a spiral wraped or acid rod.
Thanks for the replies guys. Joseph Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
