Hi!
I am looking for a thread which is similar to the Gudebrod Electra Metallic - 5034 Black Hologram, but not 1/8'' wide. I need it als a nomal single thread. Does someone has an idea for me? THANKS !!! I believe Gudebrod has 9001 that is a metallic thread if that would fit your needs - it does have a multi filament core wrapped with the metallic filament. I have only used mine with silver as the underwrap for a tiger wrap - it worked well for that application. Chuck Ungs Re: Gudebrod Electra Metallic 5034

The Gudebrod HT Electra in 9534 (black) is about the closest to the Gudebrod Electra braid that you're speaking of. The 9534 is still available in both A and D sizes, Jan. Putter Williston, ND Re: Gudebrod Electra Metallic 5034

Hi,
I think it is only a metallic thread, not a holografic. Maybe the Sulky Holoshimmer 6002 or 6051 may match? Regards, Jan Re: Gudebrod Electra Metallic 5034

Not to argue, but the Gudebrod HT Electra thread in 9534 (black) is fairly close to the same as the Gudebrod 1/8" Electra braid in black. I cannot find a number on the braid anywhere...
Both it and the braid material are touted as holographic, although neither truly is. But in appearance after finish, they are similar. I use both in my rod building and have them in front of me now. They both have specs of different colors on them and both are the greyish-black in their main, base color. The thread has less of those specs in it, even when wrapped out 3/8" or so and looked at.
