Has anyone tested the "Rod Builders Cork Filler" as listed ont he Mudhole website? I am keen to know if it is as good as the epoxy/cork dust option. Re: New Cork Filler

Chris,
Have some ordered but have not received it yet. I am getting lazy in my old age. Re: New Cork Filler

Chris
For many years I have used FIX wood filler which comes in many "flavours" and is ready mixed and fast drying {alcohol} based. And extremely easy to sand.....mind you I am not bad knocking any of the fillers from the great sponsers on the left just am advising of a very old product that has worked for me many, many years. It is Elmer's wood filler in Golden Oak. Works pretty good. Re: New Cork Filler

I have a couple different colors of the Elmers wood fillers and they do work pretty good for filling cork. If the Mudhole version is the same - ditto Jim's "works pretty good".

Thanks boys.. I will try to find an Aussie equivalent. We have Plastic Wood over here so maybe I will buy a few colours and test them.
I wil still order a tube of Cork Filler from Mudhole and see how that goes. Cheers Chris Re: New Cork Filler

I was told by a local maker to use "Pine" colored plastic wood. I have an old handle I just cleaned up with simple green, and will get the filler tomorrow to fill it! Then its either Pure 100% Tung Oil or Birchwood Casey Tru-Oil to seal it! Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
