Does anyone know anything about these blanks? A friend of mine came across several of these blanks in different sizes. They are fiberglass blanks with ferrels and it looks like a varnish coat? It would be great if someone could share there knowledge about them.

Thanks,

Scott

Any numbering on them? Will need a better description to help you out. Horrocks Ibbotson was not known has a high end manufacturer. That doesn't mean you can't turn one of their blanks into a great rod. They made a lot of solid glass rods too. I wouldn't bother building a rod from a solid glass blank.

#226 with white diamond and red H-I in the middle. It has the picture of a sailfish and says PowerGlass on it.
#446 1/2 XL with white diamond and red H-I in the middle. Has the head of a Indian Chief and reads Custom Deluxe Grade near the bottom.
#418 1/2 with yellow diamond and red H-I in the middle. Has the head of a Indian Chief and reads Tubular Fibre Glass just under the word MOHAWK.
#425 XL with white diamond and red H-I in the middle. Indian Chief head and reads Tubular Fibre Glass just under the word MOHAWK.

I hope this help Rob.

Thanks you for taking the time,

Scott
