saw some beautiful rods that was marbleize. I want to try some marble work. Is there any rodbuilding forums on the net that has articles or tutorials on how to do marble work on fishing rods Re: marbleize rods

You could also talk to DR ( Duane Richards) or Mike Barkley about it. Both of then do a fair amount of marbling Re: marbleize rods

Marnie,
If you unhide your e-mail (or e-mail me) I can help you. I don't want to make a post as long as it would need to be. Mike (Southgate, MI) If I don't want to, I don't have to and nobody can make me (except my wife) cuz I'm RETIRED!! Re: marbleize rods

MARNIE, marbling is dead easy.
Practice on lots of old blanks till you develop your own style. Most types of dyes will work well for you once you have become familiar with the technique. Just go for it. This is a really great way of personalising a rod. You will never repeat a colour or pattern I fish therefore I am. www.hookeduprods.com Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
