I want to buildi a heated drying box for my wall mounted Pac Bay 4 rod dryer. Just wondering what type of heat sources work best. The main reason I want to do this is to take advantage of Diamondite's quick drying under heat.
Thanks, Marc Re: Heat source for drying box and Diamondite finish

I bought a pair of 2-bulb halogen under cabinet lights. They have 3-way switches. Off-Low-High. I ran them both to a timer so I can have my box turn on an hour or so before I get home from work and shut off when ever I need.
Even in here Minnesota in the dead of winter I can easily achieve 90° in my drying box. .......................... Better to have and not need than to need and not have. Re: Heat source for drying box and Diamondite finish

anothor thing i would suggest is to either insulate it with that fire retardent foam with the shine side facing (don't know what its called). You can even save time and money if you just use aluminum foil. As to the heat source im with Matt the bulb thing works great. Timer idea is noval too. Billy-BRod co.

Check out the electric floor heaters from Lowes/Home Depot. Mine has a very accurate thermostat and a timer. Just set it to your preferred time and temperature . They are about 3.5' long, 8" tall and only abour 4" wide. It has worked flawlesly for a few years. I think it was under $40
