I finally did several rods (six) with TM and TM lite. I read all the hype...and found that it's just true. I can't find anything that I don't like about it. I really like TM lite over decals!

If you are new to rodbuilding you won't go wrong by getting Threadmaster regular. It will do what you want it to do. I have only used 5 other finishes so I don't consider myself an expert. However, I have been called an anal perfectionist.

I have to agree. This Fluke season my rods took a beating. One also went through 2 sand storms while on a camping trip at the beach.they look good as the day the finish set up.No dulling or yellowing. The split grip area on one rod rests on the rod holder tube (the area is marbled) and that also looks great.I`ll use nothing else.

My primary complaint with TM so far is that I can now only blame myself when the finish doesn't look as good as I want it to. I guess I'll have to switch to something else if I want my old scapegoats back,

One thing I learned over our last heat wave here was that, ThreadMaster high build works best with a room temp. at about 80 to 85 degrees. Might go higher but I can't stand it. Used the new Light today and it's great and seems to work much better than the high build when the room temp. is about 75 degrees.
