Do you know a good plater?

I'm looking to get some old ferrules and various other hardware refinished for an old Montague boat rod. It seems as though no one around me does nickel silver plating. I need the ferrules striped of the current plating and then replated. Unless someone know of NOS Montague ferrules for a boat rod NOT a fly rod.

I used to work with a plater called Hydro-Platers in Milwaukee, WI. They did electroless nickle, and a variety of other platings. They were able to polish some of our product to Ra 8 or better - which is like glass - after plating. I don't have their number at my finger tips, but they are listed. Worked with a very nice guy there named Hoy.

Good luck,
Marc

Poke around with the car restoration, bike builders, or gunsmith niches. Especially the gun niches, as they do a lot of ickle plating still.
