I need to build 4 matching 8'6" - 9' spiral wrap downrigger rods for Lake Ontario, 17#-20# line, for kings, cohos, and lakers. i was looking at Rainshadow RDR 86M and 86MH. Any opinions on these blanks, or other good suggestions out there?
Thanks, Tom White Re: Downrigger blanks

Those are very nice blanks. Lamiglas also has some nice glass blanks the ICG 98 2DR and the ICG 108 2DR. Re: Downrigger blanks

Just finishing up one of the RDR86MH's for diver/downrigger salmon trolling. I've wrapped others and they fish very well. The Lamiglas equivalents are good also and come in longer lengths if you need it.

Terry,
