I've been using Flexcoat for many years and have been out of the wrapping business for a couple of years. I just recently replaced a guide on a rod I wrapped only 5 years ago and the metalic ice blue is now metalic ice green. I've always noticed some yellowing but this is the last straw. I almost used green thread instead of blue to replace the guide, it is that bad, and no, I don't leave my rods outside, but I do use them alot. Please tell me there's a non-yellowing quality epoxy out there? I heard U-40 and Threadmaster were good, what do you all recomend? Thanks in advance...............Kyle Re: Epoxy that won't yellow?

Kyle,
I tried to email you some info regarding ThreadMaster directly, but your address is hidden. Contact me at andy@lamarfishing.com and I'll be happy to discuss the particulars of this issue with you. We are the company that designed ThreadMaster. Best Regards, Andy Dear Lamar Fishing Re: Epoxy that won't yellow?

Threadmaster is the stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IMO, it's the best, most user friendly, clearest finish available. Fishsticks4U (on the left) carries it and are GREAT people to deal with! Mike (Southgate, MI) If I don't want to, I don't have to and nobody can make me (except my wife) cuz I'm RETIRED!! White threads and Treadmaster

I just bought the Treadmaster and used it on three rods. One of the rods was white wraps....this is why I bought the Treadmaster as FC will turn it offwhite right away. Nice stuff, Andy and easy to apply. Re: Epoxy that won't yellow?

Was the back of the thread still metallic blue? And with the thread peeled from the epoxy? Just wondering if it could be the thread changing on you as well. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
