Looking for a pack rod blank for a spinning rod

Hello all,
I am looking for a source of supply for a 4 or more piece pack rod. I would need it to be 6 to 7 feet long. I have looked on the sponsors and other suppliers and cannot seem to find a medium weight spinning pack rod blank. Something in the 6-10 lb. range. St. Croix has one but I think it is a little light as I am wanting something that would be a compromise for trout, bass, walleye etc. I am not actually going to use it for backpacking but to have it with me on my motorcycle as I take trips around the country. Always like to have a rod with me but it needs to fit either on top of the saddlebags or on top of the rally bag that sits on the back seat so it needs to be fairly short when taken down.
Any ideas would be much appreciated.
Thanks, Greg

Batson has a 4 piece 6 ft blank in the bass section. I put my 3 piece travel blanks across my bars, they ride fine there.

St Croix SCII - 2S66MF3. A little compromise on your part will get you into an ideal blank. 3-piece construction. The St Croix case is only 30" long - the RC30. This blank would be my "go to" for exactly what you are doing. Check the specs and I think you will agree, best of all ... a matching case is available to help insure you get to use it for many happy years.

Would be nice to have a 6-piece 7' Spinning rod similar to the Lami FL-843-6, even though it is glass. You could put that short rod tube into your pocket if you wanted to. I'd think there's be a big market for multiple piece rods (3piece or more), especialy with all the restrictions on carry on on flights and the unreliability of the postal companies & air line baggage.

Here are some ideas,
Batson Rainshadow ISP843-3 is 7', 6-12# line, 1/4-5/8 oz lure.
The Batson Forecast SB781-3 is 6 1/2', SB841-3 is 7', both take 6-12# line and 1/8-3/8 oz lure.
There are also heavier Rainshadow models, IC747 and 847 in 3 pc, 12-25# line.

Here are some links;

We show these all to be in stock.
Hope this helps,

You can also use a multi piece fly blank tied as a spinning rod.
Think of an 8wt 7piece, you would have no problem transporting it.
Here's a 3/4wt UL 7 piece i built.
