Has anyone tried the new Pink blanks from Mudhole ? I have to build a lady a pink casting rod. Was wondering if Gudebrod #0411 Hot pink thread would look right on these blanks,or would it be too contrasting ? Has anyone wrapped pink on pink ? Was thinking about that with Metallic Silver trim. Help me out, I'm not very good with my color matching.

Silver goes good with pink. There is also a regular pink thread that you might want to purchase and compare the two to see which looks best with the blank. Lime green also looks good with hot pink.

I have a couple of the pink blanks from Mudhole awaiting wrapping. I just match it against Hot pink and Rose and neither really matches too well, but Hot pink is better. The color is almost has a tint of purple in it. So, maybe purple (barney) would go well.

I think my daughters want orange and yellow wraps..

I am working on one also. Pink Blank...Gray wraps with dark green trim bands. Havn't wrapped a guide yet so I can't tell if it will match my imagination...Nothing EVER does!

The new mudhole 'pink' rods don't look so pink. Certainly not like the mudhole value eglass blanks which are more bubblegum/crayola,/Barbie pink.

Hi,

Yes, the new pink blanks are a "darker" pink than the light pink eglass blanks we have been selling for years. However, these new pink and purple blanks are available in graphite in many lighter actions and line classes that our customers have been asking for. They will make great rods for the ladies, daughters and grand kids - we have also expanded our house line of graphite Custom Builder blanks with more models at prices just over $10. Check all these blanks out at the link below.
