For Saltwater Rods, corrosion is definitely an issue. American Tackle offers 316 stainless for excellent resistance to corrosion and discoloration. We also offer our TITAN line of guides, made of a solid titanium alloy. These guides are extremely light weight and 100% corrosion proof! The TITAN series has also expanded to include a TITAN Ring Lock guide with a press-fit frame, so corrosion and ring pop out are a thing of the past. Check them out and you will love them! All of these guides are in stock and ready to go. Chase Foster American Tackle www.americantackle.us Re: How to make Saltwater rods?

Jay,,, probably no need to mark the thread. There are many others in the past, and probably something similar every month.
BTW,,,, I just picked up some of those PacBay Coastbuster blanks from both @#$%& and donart. At $20ish a pop, it's as cheap as the cheapest generally around. I overdid it and picked up 14 blanks in various sizes, including one each of the donart grafighter-ish specials. :-O. Hard for me to walk past a deal. So I guess I will be putting some together for friends as presents later. Note that @#$%& also has specials on eva grip packages right now that work out pretty cheap per grip. You just have to be ready to deal with color. Forces some extra creativity I guess. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
