I have a client that wants a gold winding check in front of the fore grip.
Any ideas for a source for a gold colored winding check? Thanks much Roger Re: Gold winding check ??

Roger, I know that I've seen one or two sponsors respond to similar requests before. Can't remember, though... Neal's Fishing???
Maybe try a search using "Gold winding check" for your search... [www.rodbuilding.org] Putter Williston, ND Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 02/01/2007 10:18PM by Randy Parpart (Putter). Re: Gold winding check ??

The Matagi winding checks (HTWC) that Merrick stock are pretty nice, a bit expensive, but they look great. Re: Gold winding check ??

I have heard of using toe rings fore winding check's. I have not tried it yet but it may be an option to look into. Re: Gold winding check ??

Roger,
Angler's Workshop, who is a sponsor at the left, carries them made from gold anodized aluminum. Mike Blomme Re: Gold winding check ??

I have cut down brass fittings for gold winding checks, but as of late use gold metalic thread to finish without any winding check. MB Re: Gold winding check ??

Wells,
Thanks much. That was the conclusion that I came to. I ordered a couple different sizes gold checks from Merrick. They came today and will work very well indeed. Nice shape and shine. Take care Roger Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
