Well, I just got myself a great 12 rpm gearmotor for $15. It's a Hurst Manufacturing AC gearmotor that Grainger sells for $61, so I'm pretty happy with my purchase.
Anyway, I'm trying to figure out the best way to attach a pulley onto the shaft of the motor. The shaft is 3/8" long, and 3/16" diameter. I know that some of you out there have overcome this challenge, so what's the best way? I did see that Jann's Netcraft has a rubber pulley available, but the diameter for the mounting is .275", which is much bigger than the .1875" diameter shaft that I have. I'm also looking to use this motor to power an epoxy mixer like I read about in one of the past issues of Rod Maker. Thanks in advance. Joe Re: Setting up a rod drying motor

How about getting a piece of solid rod with the OD you like, and drilling a hole in the center with the ID you want. Cross drill for a set screw.
Or a rubber bushing or piece of tuging. Or shrink wrap. Or electical tape. Or ????? Lots of ways. Depends upon how 'professional' you want it to look and what you have onhand. For low torque slow turning, anything should be fine. Re: Setting up a rod drying motor
