I sometimes get a little euphoric and light-headed when I'm working on rods too; doesn't seem to matter which finish I'm using. The dizziness is gone when I wake up the next moring but there's sometimes a residual, persistent headache..........and here all this time I thought it was the bourbon.

Last year a friend of mine, Adrian Arpino of Arpino Rods here in England, developed an itching that was followed by swelling and severe pain in his arms. He initially ignored it, but one morning when he couldn't move his arms he went to the hospital. He was suffering the latter stages of Cellulitis and spent two weeks on i.v drips. After it had been brought under control tests were conducted to ascertain the cause. The outcome was that the resins and carbon dust from his business as a rod builder were to blame. He was told that had he left it just a few more days, he'd now be pushing up daisies. Alas, he was forced to give up the trade that he loved. He is recovering but still suffering.
