Has anyone every heard of White Water float rod blanks. I had a short phone conversation with a gentleman named John who is a very respected float rod builder in Rochester, NY. He described this blank to me and it sounds like its what i'm looking for. 13'6", 3 pc., 3.2 oz(very light for a float rod), and its made in the US to boot. The only problem is that he does not sell that blank, he only sell completed rods made with it. I'm looking to purchase the blank only, I want to build a pimped out float rod, exotc burl, wood trimmings, rec guides, etc...I'm wondering if it isn't a blank he has specifically made for him. I did a search on the net and nada. any info would be appreciated. Re: White Water Float Rod Blanks

Haven't heard that name is a while, about two years ago a fellow I had the number for, outside Ontario, Canada, sold those blanks. They were named Whitewater, that may help the search. I'll look in my junk to see if I still have his number. The Talon blanks are very well thought of in BC, the one I fished with was very nice. Re: White Water Float Rod Blanks
