Has anyone matched a good thread for use with the plum color of the blank and the purples in the holo guides?
Thanks for your input
I'd love to see pictures if you've got them!

Fushcia thread with no CP is a pretty good compromise I think. Angler's Workshop Fushcia silk w/CP is pretty close to the guide purple.

Garnet, Met Red Bronze look real nice and compliment the deep burgandy blank. One of the sharpest looking theme rods I made used this color blank, (old 10' G-loomis IM6) it had purple mainfield thread with bookending (false underwrap) met silver tags and an internal met red highlight band. The purple looks sharp and complimentary on the plum blank furthermore, in the instance you detailed it would also accent the purple in the holo guides. Go with this set up even if you forgo the met red highlight band and you will be very happy with the result. One lady even said the combination looked Royal. These blanks really stand out in direct sunlight

I wrapped one of those blanks with Gudebrod 468 purple and no cp, with metallic gold trim bands, and Forecast light tichrome frames and gold rings (sorry no holo on that one). It looked like a good color combo, but the wraps could have been a little better. It was an LSU theme, so it worked well. The 468 darkens a bit without cp so it almost turns a different shade of plum than the rod.
