Who makes a quality pre formed grip? I got one from one of our sponsors last year and was not to happy with the quality of the grip. Should have returned it. So this year I'm looking for a vendor who sell a quality grip. Thanks Bill Re: Pre formed cork grips

I buy mine from REC and Hook & Hackle. Never dissatisfied. I bought AAA grade from a nonsponsor once, what a mistake. Re: Pre formed cork grips

If you are going to the show this weekend, I know Andy Dear will have plenty for you to choose from. Re: Pre formed cork grips

Bill,
If you are looking for high quality preformed cork fly rod handles they are available from several of the sponsors on the left. They are expensive but available. If you are looking for high quality preformed cork grips that are longer for other types of rods they are just not available, at least I have not been able to find any. Re: Pre formed cork grips

Pre-formed grips often leave a lot to be desired. They are made in huge quantities and not of the same quality as that you could make yourself from more expensive cork. That's the trade off - you save a little time but you get a little poorer product.
If you can make it to Charlotte this weekend, at least you can look them over in person. ......... Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
