Am I right in thinking that a Penn 450 SG does not have any up sweep like Shamano's ?? Re: Penn Reel

I would say yes after looking at Penns' site , the SSg is a graphite framed version of the SS . I have a few models of the SS series , one small one 420 , and a few 650s ,the spool shafts all are parelell with the foot .

don't know about the 450sg but the 450ss and the 4500ss do not have any upsweep. neither does the 4400ss.
the 420ss, 4200ss, 430ss, and the 4300ss all have an upsweep of approximately 4 degrees (give or take a degree). Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
