Snake brand guides for the salt?

I've been eyeing the use of snake brand guides for some rods in the salt as the fit and finish are excellent. I'm a bit concerned as the site states that they are made of carbon steel rather than stainless. Has anyone used these guides in the salt, and if so, did you have any problems with these guides?

I used the chrome one time and they rusted before the first trip was even over with.

Yikes! I actually just talked to Bob Meisner and he said the same thing... But it sounds like one of the least expensive options (Forecast) isn't really a bad choice either.

James...do yourself a favor if you're looking for a traditional looking snake guide, try the REC Re-Coils...100% corrosion resistant. I have several rods that have 3-5 years of hard use on them and the recoils are still in PERFECT shape. All chrome plated guides will eventually groove and rust, it's just a matter of time and use.
