Any of the rod building videos that would be of any help would be at least an hour long and are available for sale from Mudhole.com, as well as most other vendors. There are a lot of very good ones. If you go to Mudhole.com and look for Rodbuilding 101 along the top, their is a short finishing clip as well as a lot of articles.

I think he's looking for "free" videos. I don't know of any personally but would highly recommend those that Mud Hole and others offer. They'll cost you a few bucks but are well worth what you'll get out of them. Don't let this site spoil you. Most rod building information isn't free once you get to a certain point.

I watched part one, interesting to say the least. Its like watching home improvement shows that dont follow safety or common practices. The builder was using laquer thinner to clean the blank and his hands. He was addament about the grips being secured properly with epoxy distribution but on the seat was rather sloppy.I would have unwound the mesh tape to add epoxy to insure proper penatration. Also the inside of the seat was not prepped to a water break free surface or even scored with a reamer to add in adhesion!!

His epoxy measuring was good for a beginner to learn(not). He added both parts to a cup at the same time by eye.I know this is epoxy glue not finish but it will be easy to confuse a new builder.
Cant wait to see part 2 ,part 1 was entertaining to say the least.Goes to show you get what you pay for.The text on the site says a 55 min version is available for sale that has a lot that was cut out that was important. Was this a infomertial for the video sales. If so stay away.

(Tom hope the reference to the site selling the video was ok,if not please edit and accept my appoligies)

Dont know what happened last night but the spelling is rreally bad today,Too much permagloss???

Yea, I just finished watching all of it. The guy seems kind of lazy. Only one I have seen for free online. Gives you and idea about rodbuilding but it would still be smart to get a book.
