Do you need to use color preserver on Gudebrod HT metallic threads? And what about over the flat holographic wraps? What effect do you get with and without cp?
Thanks in advance.
HAGO!

It's not neccessary over the HT. I'm not sure on "flat holographic" ?? wraps.
No difference in effect on HT with or without. Just an unneccessary step IMHO.

Some say it helps with bubbles in finish; I don't have problems when not using it, tho.

I use it on all wraps. It' takes away any possibility of air. It keeps the threads in place especially on the ends if you accidently bump or brush against one prior to applying epoxy. It covers any possible contamination which would cause "fisheyes" short of a lube job from a grease gun :) It makes removing dust prior to coating much easier also. Just my theory of course :)

I use a toothpick and put a dab where my threads cross in a butt wrap to lock the first few passes in place.
