Has anyone turned reel seats out of Lace Wood? Does it have reasonable figure when turned and are there any drawbacks to using it?
Thanks, Stan Re: Lace Wood for Reel Seats?

You'll just have to turn some and decide for yourself. It's got a neat, very regular figure to it--almost honeycomb figure. Lacewood doesn't do a whole lot for me, but it's definitely distinctive, so you might really like it. Re: Lace Wood for Reel Seats?

Several years back I made some grips out of Lacewood, it really looks good when you burn it lightly with a torch to make the grain stand out. Jesse Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
