I am using black flock and black graphite exposed blank reel seats. I found the ideal thing to make a color break shim the fits between the end of the reel seat and the front edge of the flocked cork rear grip. At the hardware store you can find a pack of four, white, cross linked polyethelyne gliders that fit on the bottom of chair legs. These things are an absolutely dead on match up with the Fuji rear end seat and even have a slight bevel on one end that will allow centering of the parts when you slide them together. I finally got a slick feeling match up of all parts by turning down the front edge of the cork 1/32" before applying the adhesive for the flock.
Heat the nail that is in the glider with a cigarette lighter and pull it out. The place where the nail was located is the center. Drill a hole in the center that fits the Flexcoat Arbor drill. Drill the glider part out with the Arbor tools and you have a piece that really fits up well and looks rather classy as a frame for the flocked grip. If one of my grand kids who knows how to use this camera drops by I will post a picture. Gon Fishn Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
