turquoise thread

i am working on a blond bamboo blank and have done most of the wrapping with peirsols naples silk in chestnut with dark brown tipping. this thread turns a kind of sandstone red on this blank. it gives it a real southwest navajo sand painting look. i want to work in some small turquoise accents in the butt section in my signature wrap. i need a fairly fine turquoise thread that will not need color perserver. does sulky make a fine turquoise or blue green metalic? any other suggestions. these will be small accents. can't use a thick thread since the naples is fairly fine.

Larry,

I have most all of the Sulky Original Metallic colors and comparing to some turquoise jewelry the closest with my old eyes seems to be #7044 Rainbow Prism Blue. If you have someplce close that carries Sulky I would suggest checking it out in person.

Larry..Holland made a turqoise ncp thread (their no. 95) at some point in time. I have a 4 oz. spool of it in A. I use it and like it, but will never use it all. Visualing your colors, I think it's just what you're looking for. If you can get your mailing address thru my e-mail system, I'll be happy to shoot out enough of it for your project. (I sometimes have trouble getting e-mail; my computer savvy is barely functional.) Barry

Sulky makes a jade metallic (#7015) that to my eyes is more blue than green, I'd call it teal. It is richer and darker than Gudebrod's teal metallic.
