Any problems using crazy glue to position guides? How about 5 min. epoxy for assembly, tip top, reel seats, grips, etc.

5 minute epoxy does not allow you enough time to get things into proper positions. I've seen a few rod builders get grips and seats stuck before they were fully in place or not aligned the way they wanted. Use slow cure epoxy or Rodbond to do these jobs. You won't be sorry.
I use rubber bands to hold my guides in place for wrapped. Crazy glue might make it difficult if not impossible to shift them around and into alignment. I wouldn't use it personally. No need for it. Re: GLUES,crazy,5 min.

I use 5 minute epoxy only for tip tops. If you want an adhesive to hold the guides on while wrapping, try Flex Coat's product made for that use. Many on here really like it. I'm still clunking along with my masking tape for that chore. Hard to break the 24 year old habit, I guess. Putter Williston, ND Re: GLUES,crazy,5 min.

I take a bag of kids rubber bands and cut them in half. Ty onto the blank about 4-5" above where they will go, them slid them into position. This way they are tight. Some will break, but the bag is cheap Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
