Hi,
I'm looking for a powerful glass rod for trolling even the biggest Grandmas or Believers at relatively high speed. Strong enough for the big lures and smooth to handle even the biggest pike/musky without shaking off the hook. The blank should be 8 ft. long or even longer. Does anybody have an idea? Maybe a saltwater heavy Downrigger blank or something like that? Please let me know your suggestions and advice! Thanks in advance UWE Re: glass blank

I'd be inclined to see if anyone has any Ugly Stik blank left. They are the right length and virtually unbreakable. I bought a couple from Custom Tackle when they were closing them out. Re: glass blank

Mud Hole has some 7' Ugly Sticks left in the 40-60# class. You could add an extention to get 8'.
