glass blank

Hi,

I'm looking for a powerful glass rod for trolling even the biggest Grandmas or Believers at relatively high speed. Strong enough for the big lures and smooth to handle even the biggest pike/musky without shaking off the hook. The blank should be 8 ft. long or even longer. Does anybody have an idea? Maybe a saltwater heavy Downrigger blank or something like that?

Please let me know your suggestions and advice!

Thanks in advance

UWE

I'd be inclined to see if anyone has any Ugly Stik blank left. They are the right length and virtually unbreakable. I bought a couple from Custom Tackle when they were closing them out.

Mud Hole has some 7' Ugly Sticks left in the 40-60# class. You could add an extention to get 8'.
