I've removed reelseats in the past with boiling water that I had secured with 2 part expoxy. They were on masking tape arbors so I'm not sure which actually broke down first. I want to remove a newly attached all aluminum reelseat that I secured with Gudebrod Rod Cement over masking tape arbors. Will boiling remove it or is this Rod Cement some sort of super duper adhesive? It looks a lot like Elmer's glue to me. Thanks. Re: Removing reelseat secured with Gudebrod Rod Cement.

Heat softens epoxy, you can also use a hair drier to help remove the residue of old wraps from a blank. I don't think one part glues are effected the same way at temperatures that won't damage the blank. I've tried other glues over the years, but never the one you mentioned.
