changing name on rod?

I have a T&T factory rod that was personalized for someone else. Is it practical to remove his name and either leave it blank or put mine?

If you sell it, you will have to take your name off???

Richard,

Possibly you could over wrap it with thread to cover the name.

I'll probably keep this one for a while. If over-rapped with thread, how would you seal it to look right?

Richard,

It's difficult to say what exactly to do without seeing the rod but maybe uses a NCP thread that matches the blanks color or regular nylon with color preserver. You could do some fancy wraps (diamonds, weave, ect) to cover it. If you keep it and it doesn't bother you just leave it. Is it a rod that you built for someone else and they did not pick it up for some reason? If it is you could use it to show customer the reason why you require deposits (been there, do that - family what can you say).
