I finnally got my motor and foot pedal for my power wrapper I'm building. I was givin a very old sewing machine and I removed the motor and foot control. Kinda funny it about 50 years old and its the same exact motors being sold on the other units. I had some trouble remembering where the wires went but got it working. Now I have to construct the rest of the wrapper. My goal is to make it for $0.00. no money, free!!! It may take some time and some forethought but I'll keep the progress posted on here.

See if there is a thread tension device that you can salvage too.

Good for you. I bought a whole setup, which had an "adjustable speed motor" with it. Aftter the first 2 rods flying apart due to the inconsistant speeds, I sent it back and did the same thing you are doing. You would be amazed at what grandma has stored in her attic!!!

Bill, I was thinking of the '50 Ford with flathead engine. Used to be my flyfishing vehicle, etc.
