Hello all,
I know this is a bit off topic, but I am looking for info on warmwater opportunites in Portland, OR. I will be there this Wednesday and Thrusday morning and will have about 4 hours to fish during the day on Wednesday. I am looking for easy fishing, where I could walk the banks for some panfish, bass, carp, or even trout. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Lou Re: Portland Fishing- Off Topic

Might check out ifish.net, primarily an Oregon fishing forum. Very helpful group. Re: Portland Fishing- Off Topic

Lou,
There probably should be some panfish action on Sauvie Island you'd think, as we have had a bunch of clear wx with temps trying to get in the high 60's. The good trout fishing is inland quite a ways, to far for a 4 hour fishing window. There is a panfish club in the area, but I don't know if they have a website with info. Hi Lou,
If you are near downtown, the Willamette River would have bass, carp and panfish opportunities for your fishing window. There is a new river walk along the east side of the river where there is both bank and dock fishing available. You'll probably see some folks fishing for sturgeon from some of the deeper docks. Ask for directions to OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry). Park in one of the lots close to the river walk and pick your spots. Another choice would be a little farther upstream (South) near Oaks Park. More bank opportunities there. The rivers here are extremely low and clear for this time of year. Temps next week should be in the 60's and dry. Who'd a thunk it? Good luck. Terry Re: Portland Fishing- Off Topic

Lou,
I fished Henry Hagg lake Saturday with some friends. I landed 2 rainbows using a yellow seal bugger. www.westfly.com is a great place for information. Another pay to fish lake is www.redhillslake.com with great fishing. Both are about 40 minutes from Portland. John Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
