One of my buddies asked me about 2 weeks ago to re-build his "tan" colored rod. well, it's white....just the color i've been waiting to play with. Re-building this rod has given me alot of ideas and i really want to build one for myself, but it seems like getting a hold of a white blank in the 40-50 lb. class is kinda hard. Anybody know a good place to get my hands on one? thanks,

Lamiglas would be the first place I would look. White is my preferred blank color as well, but they're getting harder and harder to find all the time.

I think you could buy a Penn Sennator rod, cut everything off, and you're all set, lol. White blanks are nice, but just remind me too much of beater boat rods. Although I will say you could do so much more with a white blank and not have to worry about threads blotching. Re: White blanks?

Buy whatever blank you need and paint it. I just finished a solid glass rod for my nephew. Painted it with PlasiCote auto paint, then covered it with same brand clear cote. It turned out beautiful. You just have to leave it alone for a couple days to let the paint set up and get really good and cured. Bill in WV Re: White blanks?
