I have a client who wants a rod built on a lami graphite blank with these specs...
9 foot long, 2 piece, line weight of 12-25, lure weight of 1-3 oz
he wants it light as can be.......what blank do you recommend?

He wants to throw rubber and jigs -lure weights 1-3 oz into saltwater.
The only thing I seem to be able to find is the GLB1082MH
however the "MH" botherd him-looking for something rated "M"
He also wants the "Gray " coloured lami blank so it would match his other rods.
The Tri-flex CSB1082M seems to fit but -it has glass in its composition......
He stressed Graphite for it's light weight.
Can anyone explane to me what differance this would make (more weight etc.)?
Would the Tri flex suit his needs better?
Is there a blank from another manufacturer that would better fit this application?
If so could you give me some names & reasons so I have some ammo to throw at him
when next we speak?!
Thank YOU!

It's a little bit heavier than some of the graphite Lamiglass, but take a look at the Rainshadow SW1087 or SU1087. I have built on a couple of SW1089's and they turned out very nice. The one's I built on were the old Rainshadow blanks, but from what I have seen of the new ones they are just as good or better than the old.

Lamiglas Ron Arra series 1084-2. I built this rod last year as a spinner with fuji SIC guides. 3oz might be pushing it a bit on the top end bit will absolutely smoke a 2oz plug or metal.

Eric, I believe the GSH1082HX would fill your needs. 9'0" 12-30 , 1-6 oz lure. this lure rating is a trolling rating for the rod built on it. I believe the casting wt is 3/4 - 2 1/2 oz.
