Anyone have any experience with the H&H XT51 fly rod blanks?
They look like a good deal in a "premium" blank. Are they super-fast? I prefer a moderate-fast action. Thanks, Greg Re: H&H XT51 fly blanks

Greg,
I've built on two of the H&H XT51 blanks. A 7' 6" 4 wt which was fast. (AA=70) and a 9' 6 wt which was moderate (AA=60) I like the banks a lot. The prices are great and Bob's customer service cannot be beat. I just changed the guides on the 7' 6" to Alconites and it is quickly becoming my go to rod. Regards Ed Re: H&H XT51 fly blanks

I have built several of the 4 piece, 5 weight blanks and they cast and fish great. I found them to be fast and light. I would have to say that Bob's customer service is amoung the best I have ever experienced from any business. Re: H&H XT51 fly blanks

I just received my first XT51 and the finish is nice! As usual, bob had it in my hands in about two days. Re: H&H XT51 fly blanks

Anybody have experience with the 9wt?
I'm looking for a fast+ 9wt blank, and was wondering about these? I see from the above post that the 6 wt is not quite as fast as the 4wt, and might be concerned that actions get slower as listed line weight goes up? Thanks, mark Re: H&H XT51 fly blanks
