Wipe on furnitue wax like pledge, etc. I spray onto a cloth and wipe the blank, seat/guides with it and recommend that the users do the same periodically

I've read about polishing newly completed rods, but hesitated because I felt that having the blank and components waxed would complicate things if a near term repair is necessary.

Maquire's Carnuba; no silicone to cause problems on down the line if repairs/refinishing is needed. Wax as you would your Hummer, Myles!!! ;) Re: Polishing finished rods
